Weapons
Successfully complete the indicated mission to unlock the corresponding weapon:

Aust PUP: Gauntlet mission
Blaine: Home Wrecker mission
F70: Tailgate mission
Gangster: Tailgate mission
Grenade Launcher: Kidnap mission
L15: Jail Break mission
RPG: Shell Shock mission
Service 9: Last Chance mission
SF10: Guardian Angel mission

Star token bonuses
Collect the indicated number of Star tokens in the 1978 Era or 2006 Era to get the corresponding bonus:

10 Stars: +50 Health
20 Stars: Double nitro
30 Stars: Double ammo capacity
40 Stars: Double V-edit car durability
50 Stars: Free vehicle upgrades

Prison Transport Bus
During the Jail Break mission, you must drive a prison transport to the prison. When you get there, a gate will open. Stop in the way of the gate so that it cannot close, and do not completely enter. There should be a gray school bus to your left marked “Prison Transport System” on the side. Get into it, drive to the garage, and store it. Quickly get back to the prison and into the transport. The mission will continue as usual, but you must break through the rest of the three gates yourself. They are easy to break; just drive through them. Note: This vehicle is only available once.

Easy money
Win a circuit race without hitting the wall or the other racers to earn a $10,000 clean driver bonus.

On the third mission where Ray asks you to collect $1,500 and deliver the money to his Auto Shop in La Guardia, enter the La Guardia Circuit Race. Win first place on any difficulty setting. After completing the race, the Circuit will close and you will not be able to race again. Save the game (provided that the autosave feature is turned off) and restart the mission. The La Guardia Circuit Race will now be re-opened, but you will retain the money you won from the last race. Repeat this to continue earning as much money as desired. Once you have the money you need, return to Ray’s Auto Shop and to the green marker to make upgrades to your cars. This makes it easier to win the La Guardia Races. To complete the mission and continue the game, have at least $1,500 and go to the yellow marker at Ray’s Auto Shop at the start of the mission.

Customize cars for less
Successfully complete the game, then choose the car or bike store at Rays. If it is for the 2006 Era, go to the 1978 Era and customize it for ten times less money.

Driver references
Driver posters are visible on the walls of the 1978 safe house. Graffiti reading “Tanner Lives” can be seen on the walls of the 2006 safe house. Driver strategy guides are found on a magazine rack in police headquarters. If you look closely at some cars, you will notice they are exact replicas of cars around the city in the original Driver. Every traffic car from the first installment of Driver is in the game, since both games are set in the 1970’s.

DRIV3R reference
Go outside the building where you got shot by the corrupt policeman in the “Kidnap” mission in the 1978 Era. Use a gun to zoom in on the contents of the yellow dumpsters to see thrown away copies of DRIV3R.

Stuntman reference
Stuntman posters are visible on the walls of the 1978 safe house.

Programmer references
Look on the newspapers blowing around the streets, taxi signs, the safe house dart board, and the safe house refrigerator door to see photos of the development team. The Reflections logo can be seen as graffiti on some walls. The Atari logo can be seen on a neon signs at Times Square.

To get Oozaru Forms, collect Power Orb Fusion Z Items and combine them with the early Saiyan characters.

Completing Story mode
To get 100% in Story mode, get a good set of Z Items to power-up characters. This will make it easier to defeat the high level characters you find in special battles. Find and complete (win by defeat) all of the special battles. This will unlock alternate plots. An example of a special battle is the Piccolo vs. Raditz battle. It is the very first battle in Story mode.

Finding Dragon Balls
Smash through breakable objects in battle maps then run into the Dragon Balls to get them. You must also win the battle.

A more difficult way to get Dragon Balls is to fight somebody in either the Namek or Mountain Road level in Story mode. The Namek level contains a lot of breakables but are difficult to find, especially when you are locked on and your opponent moving and changing your view. The Mountain Road level has almost nothing but trees. If you happen to find Dragon Balls in those levels by accident, pick them up.

Easy Dragon Balls
Fight with any character in Story mode in the Town stage and destroy all the buildings. Eventually you will find a Dragon Ball. Walk to it and you will automatically get it. When you collect all seven Dragon Balls, go to the white dot on the map.

Play the “Fateful Brothers” adventure. During the first scenario, go to the bottom of the map to the Southern Capital. You will see General Tao. Challenge him (easiest for mode 1). When the battle starts, dash/move out to your right so he cannot lock-on. Charge until you have a decent amount of Ki and start firing Ki shots at the buildings and cars. Do not shoot at the trees because they do not usually have Dragon Balls. Keep doing this and if General Tao ever confronts you, do a smash to send him flying. To get out of lock-on mode, face in the opposite direction and press Up. There should be a Dragon Balls on every map; however, after you destroy everything and you are sure there are no Dragon Balls, use your Dragon Radar. You will see a blinking red/orange dot. Go to it and look around. Note: To make this much easier, unlock Great Ape Raditz. You need three blast gauges to use Great Ape Raditz. It is worth it because he breaks through any object by just walking through it. Also, General Tao cannot smash or do anything to disturb you while you are looking for Dragon Balls.

The following is a way of quickly locating the Dragon Balls without spending time smashing buildings or boulders. The entire set of Dragon Balls may be found within the first four episodes of the Saiyan Saga, the very first story in Dragon Adventure mode. Follow the directions below to find the seven Dragon Balls. Note: You may need to re-enter the respective cities (yellow dots on the world map) a few times before the items appear.

7 Star Dragon Ball 00: Mysterious Alien Warrior - North City (Mr. Satan)
3 Star Dragon Ball 00: Mysterious Alien Warrior - East City (Yamcha)
6 Star Dragon Ball 00: Mysterious Alien Warrior - South City (Tien)
1 Star Dragon Ball 01: Kakarot - East City (Mr. Satan)
4 Star Dragon Ball 03: Gohan and Piccolo - Center City (Chiaotzu)
2 Star Dragon Ball 03: Gohan and Piccolo - South City (Satan)
5 Star Dragon Ball 04: Saiyan Blood - East City (Yamcha)

Easy money
In Dragon Adventure mode, play until you get to the Majin Buu Saga. Once you make it to the Two Majin Buus storyline, you will be playing as Fat Buu. During that story, go to the top right area of the map and go to the Mountain Road area. Once there, Yamcha will offer you a contest to see how long you can last. If you either stay alive long enough or if you are strong enough to defeat him, you will be awarded with not only 1,000,000 Zeni, but you will also get Equipment Slots +4 and the Fox Mask fusion capsule. Once done, go back to the scenario selection screen and repeat. Increase Fat Buu’s attributes as much as possible to make this easier. It is recommended that you spend some time in the Android Saga scenario and choose the “Goku Defeated!?!” story. Then, go to the bottom of the map to the Southern Capital. When you are fighting, destroy the buildings to look for a Dragon Ball. Keep doing this until you find them all then summon Shenron and hope that he has the Kiss From #18 capsule. That will bring up your attributes very quickly.

If you need to buy capsules for your characters early on in the Saiyan Saga or Frieza Saga, replay the Mysterious Alien Warrior (Saiyan Saga 00) event to unlock the hidden Fateful Brothers Saga. During the events of Fateful Brothers (where you play as Radditz), there are several events where you can endlessly attempt the side battles against groups of Saibamen. Each victory will result in a green Z-Item called the Saibamen set, as well as some Zeni and experience for Radditz. The Saibamen item set can be sold at Baba’s shop for 150,000 Zeni. Repeat this as many times as desired to purchase Z-Items for your team. Also, purchasing the four Purple Z-Items at the shop is also recommended. Each set of two can be fused into the items Halo and Majin Seal, which allow good and bad characters to use their Blast 2 techniques at half the energy cost. This is a very helpful item during some of the more difficult Sagas. After unlocking the Majin Buu Saga, the other tip in this section is much more effective.

Three wishes
Collect all seven Dragon Balls while you are in Namek. Visit Porunga and you will be granted three wishes instead of one.

Finding Shenron/Porunga
When you collect all seven Dragon Balls a little white dot will appear. Go there and give the Dragon Balls gathered to get your wish(es).

Easily summon Porunga
Gather all seven Dragon Balls while playing the Saiyan Saga scenario, but do not summon Shenron. Once you unlock the Final Battle scenario, use the Dragon Balls there to summon Porunga. Even though the Balls were collected on Earth, they can be used on Namek. It is easier to gather them in one of the cities on Earth.

Hit giant characters with melee attacks
If you select Super Saiyan 3/4 Goku, Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta, or Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, you can hit giant or buffed characters with melee attacks.

Tapion’s special attack
Normally rush moves do not work on giants (Great Apes, Janemba, etc.), however, because Tapion is supposed to fight Hirudigarn (a giant), Tapion’s ultimate move (which is a rush attack) works on any and all other giants.
