Winning Rock Band band to Win $10,000 and an Opportunity to Meet Ringo Starr

Leading gaming and music entertainment giants Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. and MTV Games are once again seeking the best Rock Band gamers in the United States with The 2nd Annual Total Rock, Total Rewards Rock Band Competition.

Five participating Harrah’s Total Rewards Casinos will host Rock Band Nights. MTV Games will work with an additional 15 venues across the U.S. to host Rock Band Bar Nights, between May 1 and June 13. The top scoring band from each venue will receive a chance to enter and compete in the exciting event in Bally’s Atlantic City hotel and casino, July 1-2. Disney Sing It: Family Hits is a karaoke game featuring the most beloved songs and videos from 20 all-time favorite Disney films, alongside vocal tips from the Princess and the Frog’s Anika Noni Rose. Game Publisher Hatches Deal with Legendary Game Creator Yuji Naka and PROPE to Release Innovative New Platform Action-Puzzle Game

Starting May 9, Wii Hardware Will Be Available in Black or White

A great value in video games is about to get even better. Starting May 9, Nintendo will add new elements to the baseline Wii system package offered at retailers throughout the Americas. In addition to the intuitive, motion-sensing Wii Remote controller, Nunchuk controller and popular Wii Sports game that currently comes standard with each system purchase, every new unit will now also come packaged with Wii Sports Resort and the control-enhancing Wii MotionPlus accessory. In addition, consumers will be able to choose between two color schemes for the Wii console and included controllers: original white, or a new black option. The U.S. suggested retail price of the new system package will remain at $199.99. Pricing outside the United States will be established by the local markets, but offer similar consumer value.
