Braid: An Xbox 360 big hitter that’s on its way to the PC next year, could also meet the PlayStation 3. If Sony approves that is.
This a pretty big game for the Xbox 360, receiving the highest Metacritic rating for any XBLA game and selling 55,000 in its first week. Other platform owners are going to be beaming with the possibility of the game coming to their hardware of choice.
First off, developer Jonathon Blow lets us know that the PC version of Braid should be available between February and March next year. This is to let the game have some space and avoid the crowded Christmas market.
Secondly, he’s in talks to develop a native-Mac version of the game, so you Apple folks won’t be left out.
Finally, although there are no plans for other platform releases in the near future, a later PlayStation 3 version is possible. Jonathon Blow comments;
“[As] I’ve mentioned before, a PS3 version a little later on remains a possibility (though again, this depends on whether Sony is interested in the game).”
