EA has announced two new MySims games for 2009 that take the series in a different direction. MySims Racing and MySims Party are spin offs from the main adventure series and will feature well-known MySims characters.
Party games have grown in popularity since the Wii and DS launched and now EA is getting in on the act with MySims Party. The Wii version features 50 mini-games, each hosted by a different MySim. Players will be participating in extreme snowboarding, outrunning a robot in Robo Assault or dancing in the Go Go Dancing challenge. You can either play mini-games one after the other or compete in a themed festival such as food, music or sports that brings together multiple mini games.
As for the DS game, you’ll be able to play 40 mini games including Excavate-a-Saurus, which has you digging up dinosaur fossils, Haunted Hunted, a first-person shooting mission starring Goth Boy and Air-Guitar-Star, a music mini-game.
MySims Racing will look to rival Mario Kart on Wii and DS. The Wii version will feature plenty of MySims characters racing on a variety of ‘exotic tracks’ You can take on up to three friends and blast them with power-ups such as a heat-seeking jack-o-lantern pumpkin or a bubble dropper.
There are customisation options for your vehicles so you can swap bodies, change paint jobs and add accessories. You can also improve power, acceleration and handling by mixing and matching engines, suspension and tires.
There are fewer details for the DS version other than the fact that uou can race up to three of your friends via Wi-Fi Connection or local wireless play.

We are thrilled to bring MySims Party and MySims Racing to fans and new players alike.”
