Amazon holds new Xbox 360 game sale Live: Mirror’s Edge Less Popular Than its Own Demo

Circuit City price cuts Xbox 360 titles

Circuit City Stores Inc. this week price cut select titles for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 in a new game sale.

This week the retailer is selling Activision Inc.’s Quantum of Solace at $44.99, down $15 from the MSRP. Additionally, it is selling Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto IV at $39.99.

Circuit City is concurrently holding a video game clearance sale that discounts select titles to $9.96 this week.

Meanwhile, retailer Amazon.com in Dec. began offering a range of discounted Xbox Live products during the holiday buying period.

On Tues., the retailer price cut the Xbox Live 12-Month Gold Card to $38.99, down from a $49.99 MSRP.

Additionally, the Xbox Live 1600 Points Card was dropped to $17.99, down from $19.99 and the Xbox Live 4000 Points Card was discounted to $44.99 from $49.99.

Finally, the Xbox Live 60GB Starter Kit was price cut to $89.99, down from a $99.99 MSRP.

NPD Group Inc. in Dec. reported that the Xbox 360 sold 836,000 units in Nov. U.S. sales.
